Getting started
How do I install Skucast?
From the Shopify App Store, click Add app, then approve the requested permissions and the $99/month subscription (with 14-day free trial). After install you land on the onboarding wizard, which takes about 2 minutes.
What does the forecaster actually do?
It pulls 12 weeks of sales velocity from your Shopify orders, classifies each SKU using Croston's method (smooth, lumpy, dead, seasonal, new), and tells you how many days of supply you have left at current rates. When a SKU drops below its safety threshold, it shows up in the morning stockout alert with a one-click "Create PO" button.
How does the magic-link PO acknowledgement work?
When you email a PO, the email contains a unique acknowledgement link. Your supplier clicks it — no login required — and confirms the order is received. The PO status flips to "Acknowledged" in your dashboard automatically.
Can I receive partial shipments?
Yes. Each PO line has a "received quantity" field; receive as much or as little as arrives. Skucast tracks the remainder and surfaces partial-receipt POs in the dashboard until fully closed.
How is the daily 7 AM action list delivered?
By default, the dashboard shows it as the top card when you log in. With the SMS add-on (paid upgrade, coming soon), it can also be texted to your phone at 7 AM your timezone — a 4-line summary of what needs attention. Empty days stay quiet.
Billing
How does the free trial work?
14 days from install. You won't be charged until day 15. Cancel anytime during the trial from the Shopify Apps page — no charge.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin, find Skucast, click Uninstall. Subscription stops immediately. Your data is deleted within 48 hours per Shopify's GDPR
shop/redact policy.What's included in the $99/month?
Forecaster, purchase orders, RMAs, suppliers, dashboard, end-of-day reports, vendor reliability scorecard, margin drift detection, Cash & Commitments dashboard, Cmd+K search, daily 7 AM action list, label printing, weekly recap. All features, no per-SKU or per-user limits.
What about the AI, SMS, and Dealer add-ons?
Coming soon as paid upgrades. The launch tier focuses on inventory operations — we'll announce the add-ons once they've been battle-tested with launch customers. Existing subscribers get early-access pricing.
Data + privacy
What data does Skucast access from my shop?
Product/SKU/variant data, inventory levels, vendor names, completed order line items (for forecasting), shop info (name, email, currency, timezone). We do not access customer personal data in the launch tier.
How long is my data kept after I uninstall?
48 hours, per Shopify's
shop/redact compliance policy. After that, everything is purged from our Cloudflare KV storage.Where is my data stored?
